We are in the application part of joining Mercy Ships. We have also talked with some of the people in administration. Things are looking good for returning to Mercy Ships next summer. Initially it will be 4 to 6 weeks of training. Although I have had training in the past, a lot has changed over the years and we are re-joining as a family of four. Much different than before.
The time we have not been missionaries with Mercy Ships we have often said, "We would love to go back as a family!". And you know what? God is working that out.
A lot of great things have happened these last few years after the birth of our sons, Tytus & Ezra. But also a lot of difficulties have kept us from pursuing the passion of returning. Extreme allergies, asthma, developmental issues...some of which I will share here.
As you can imagine there is a countdown in our head for all things we need to do to get ready to go...A year is NOT much time. Kids passports, sell our house, raise financial support, and all the stuff in between! Have you been down that road?
